ell, the honeymoon is
officially booked and ready to roll. Although wedding plans were going on for the last 2
years, the honeymoon was the only thing that we procrastinated on and put on the back burner.
But with 2 months left, we decided on where we are going, and it is a 2 stop trip to Florida.
Orlando, FL
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
As soon as we wake up on Sunday morning, we will start heading down to Florida. Our first
stop is Orlando, where we will be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. Disney's Coronado
Springs Resort is themed to regions of Mexico and the American Southwest. Set around a lake,
it features a Mayan pyramid in the center of a fun pool area. This hotel offers one full-service
restaurant, plus other dining options. Most rooms comfortably accommodate four people.
Disney World Theme Parks
On Monday, on the 4th of July, we plan on bearing the heat and crowds at the Disney Them
Parks. We purchased a one day Park Hopper Pass, in which we can come and go as we please
between all of the Disney theme parks, which include MGM Studios, Epcot®, Animal
Kingdom® Park and of course, the Magic Kingdom®!
Although one day is not nearly enough to spend at all of these parks, we plan on
visiting mostly the Magic Kingdom® and one of the other parks. With rides and shows
such as the Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain and Splash
Mountain, we are also really looking forward to seeing the fireworks fly over Disney on
our nation’s birthday. Not to mention, hang out with Micky!
SeaWorld Orlando
On the following Tuesday, we are heading out to SeaWorld for the day! An Anheuser-Busch theme park, this
park has all types of thrill rides including the Kraken roller coaster and the Journey to Atlantis water
ride. Of course if you are visiting SeaWorld, you can always expect great shows as well, especially the
Shamu escapades! After finding a 2 day ticket for the price of one, we will return for a half of a day
on Wednesday…the other half we will head on over to…
Clearwater Beach, FL
Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort
After SeaWorld we will head straight over to Clearwater Beach for 3 days, which is located
on a peninsula on Florida’s gulf coast. Clearwater beach is known for it’s white, sandy
beaches and of course it’s clear water. Just outside of Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg,
Clearwater is the home of
Fort De Soto Beach, the #1 rated beach in the U.S. for 2005! We will be staying at the Holiday Inn
Sunspree resort, which came highly recommended…we are really looking forward to a nice relaxing trip in
the Florida sun!
